Karibuni Safaris - uganda

Karibuni Client Testimonials and Reviews

Erick,
Wow, I can’t believe it has only been a little more than 3 months since we were all back in Africa.  This will be our third exclusive Uganda safari with Karibuni Safaris and without any question being able to have you in particular meet us at the airport each trip comforts us immensely.  Just knowing you will be there upon our arrival and remain with us for our entire trip as we travel about hours on end gives us and our families the piece of mind when planning our trips.
Just knowing you will be there with your usual dependability has allowed us to focus on so many other adventures we wish to take while being in Uganda.

Christmas at Murchison Falls with Karibuni Safaris

December 2009

Sometime in mid-December 2009 I called up Karibuni Safaris to inquire about the options there were for Christmas packages. I was immediately impressed by their professionalism. They were candid with me about the fact that I was trying to make the booking quite late. Within 24hours they got back to me with a few available options. It was clear that Karibuni had listened carefully to what I wanted, and had not tried to give me options to suit their convenience. They had gone an extra mile to meet our wishes. I received advice on how else the options would make our experience as a family more worthwhile. It was good to see that Karibuni were mindful of my two little toddlers as they came up with the proposals. This kind of attention to detail made my family more confident about Karibuni.

What we loved most about the whole experience was the absence of surprises! Karibuni kept every promise they made. Our allocated driver, Ronnie, doubled as a tour guide. This reduced the cost a bit, but more importantly, made the trip more comfortable since we had to work with fewer people. We agreed with Ronnie that he would pick us up at our residence at 8.00am on December 24. He was at the gate by 7.30am! For the next 4 days he kept time the same way. Ronnie was familiar with all the details of our bookings. He helped us check into Sambiya River Lodge and assisted us to get onto the other services we had booked. Ronnie is a very professional driver. He obeyed traffic rules and made it a point to continuously ask for feedback from us especially regarding his speed on different routes and trails. The vehicle was very comfortable and was kept clean at all times. The snack and drinks box was well stocked at all times, and it was good to learn that the refreshments were complimentary (maybe one surprise after all!)

Ronnie was very knowledgeable about the national park. He knew exactly where to take us to see the animals and attractions we were interested in seeing. He was quite proactive. A good example is how he often offered to help us take pictures when we wanted to appear together as a family. During the game drive and boat ride we saw elephants, buffalo, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, Uganda kob, water buck, various species of monkeys, a lioness, warthogs, various species of birds and lizards, baboons, and a few other animals I cannot recall off-head.

The highlight of our holiday was the visit to the Murchison safari falls. It was a breath-taking sight. We had an opportunity to see the falls from both the top and the bottom on separate trips.

As we drove between the different sites planned, Ronnie often pointed out different features of interest we could have missed. He obliged whenever we requested to make unscheduled stop-overs to take in these features.

Thank you Karibuni for making our holiday memorable.
